Jalex Investment Group is a Sydney-based, privately owned property development firm built on institutional investment principles.
We came from institutional and mid-to-large-scale property backgrounds, so, three years ago, we made a deliberate choice: bring rigorous investment discipline to specialist property sectors where that thinking is rarely applied.
Today, with multiple completed projects and a proven development approach, we focus on two core areas — luxury residential living and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
Our team spans property economics, construction, finance, and design, giving us a complete view of every project. We are developers, not operators or asset managers — but we build as though we are.
We think in 20-year timeframes even when building to sell: in SDA, that means design quality that supports participants for decades; in luxury residential, it means specifications that hold value through cycles, not just at settlement.

EXECUTIVE TEAM

Alex oversees all project operations at Jalex, ensuring every development is delivered with precision and purpose. He brings a rare combination of on-the-ground construction experience and strategic property knowledge, having worked across Tier 1 and mid-tier residential construction before serving as Head of Acquisitions at one of Australia's largest disability housing developers. Grounded in construction and property economics, Alex's attention to detail and delivery expertise sit at the core of how Jalex executes. He is driven by a belief that great development can build genuine communities — improving the lives of residents and the wellbeing of some of Australia's most vulnerable people.

James leads investment strategy, financial management, and funding partnerships at Jalex. His background spans capital raising across multiple asset classes and development stages — from early-stage ventures to construction-ready projects — including his time as Investment Director at an international renewable energy company delivering nationally significant infrastructure. He has also managed residential development projects averaging $50m+ in value. James brings a finance-first mindset and a disciplined approach to structuring deals that are sustainable for all stakeholders and meaningful in outcome — particularly in enabling more quality disability accommodation to be built across Australia.

Jared leads development due diligence, design, and value engineering at Jalex, bringing a design-led perspective to every stage of the development process. As a lead designer and development manager at a luxury architectural firm with projects across Australia, he has personally designed and managed over 60 luxury homes and overseen a further 15 residential developments as the on-site PM. Educated in building design, Jared's strength lies in de-risking developments through sharp execution, consultant management, and value-adding design decisions. He is committed to delivering projects that are as efficient for stakeholders as they are compelling for the communities they serve.
